I have created me this new blog. It is supposed to take over from the old blog. Partly because the old blog was, and has always been, shit. Partly because I want some sort of change in my life, and this is a nice easy place to get it. But mostly because my life is different now than it was when I mostly wrote the other blog, and it feels like time to shed some dead wood. I'm different, and I think differently, and I think I want to write differently.
So it's a bit of a time of change in my life - I'm finishing up my education, moving city for a new job, and losing weight. There's lots of little goodbyes being prepared in my head, and lots of bigger goodbyes which my head is trying to avoid thinking about. Things feel impermanent and a little weird. I wanted to document some of the changes and upheavals in my life leading up to (and after) the move to Melbourne, hence this blog.

Well... Bugger. Now I have to add another blog to my RSS feeds. GRAH!
Agreed though - I've been thinking for some time about dumping the ol' Blurty blog in favour of ye Blogger. Or at least relegating it to the repository of personal quizzes and other silly crap it seems to have become.
What do you mean "it seems to have become", Mr. 19th September, 2007? That's practically a year. It's officially a dead blog. Time for a do over.
