Day 72 in Japan - A Little Under the Weather

Today was a bit rainy and grey, but I decided to ride my bike to work (at Shimizu - a half hour bike ride uphill) anyway. About 20 minutes in, I started to realise that I had made a mistake. I was feeling flat and headachey and not quite right, and rather than clearing my head and waking me up, the bike ride just made it worse and by the time I got to school I felt bulldozered. So classes today were a little flat - sore head, sore neck, sore shoulders, sore back, tired (3 coffees didn't help!) and sleepy classes didn't really add up to a fantastic day of education.

Having someone to cook dinner when you feel sick is very nice.
The ingredients that went into our dinner stir-fry/soup
Thankfully, the ride home was all downhill, so after speech practise, I pointed my handlebars home, and collapsed through the front door. Sam cooked us a nice chicken stir-fry/soup thing for dinner, and after a lie down in a dark room, we watched the first episode of Torchwood. I ended up cooking pancakes for dessert at about 8:30, and then fell asleep by about 9:30. Not really an eventful day, all told.

Food Highlight of the Day: Supper pancakes with maple(ish) syrup.

Cripes, I just realised from looking at that photo - everything in your apartment is Sam sized, and I hadn't noticed because he's in scale there. Your kitchen bench is gonna be somewhere about knee height for me. O_O
