I actually am teaching shopping lessons this week, but not today, because this Monday is a PUBLIC HOLIDAY! WHOOOOOOOOOOOO! Party on down. Or if you are Sam and I - sleep in, do chores and go shopping for homewares. Like it's our birthday.
So it was a fairly slow day, but it was productive and we actually had a good time. We went 100 yen store shopping and bought tons of little things that we needed around the house. Boring little things like extra net filters for our washing machine and sink, toilet brushes and soap things that you put in the top of Japanese toilets, pins for the walls, extra cutlery and stuff like that. I love the hyaku en store, and all of the wonderful Engrish and funny products that it supplies. It really brightens my day.

This one is for Dad - I can now defeat Captain Scum. |

So cute that we don't even want to rub their faces on our dirty pots. |

Why disposable panties would be needed is beyond my
understanding, but they were in the travel section. |

A new rafting game we found in an arcade. Seriously? Rafting? |
Then we headed to Nitori (like Japanese, smaller, cheaper Ikea) for some shelves, extra bedding, pillows, and a DUSTBUSTER! I'll finally have something in this house that sucks more than Sam. Ha. A little bit of grocery shopping, and then home to make our OWN PIZZAS! Bacon, salami and mozzarella cheese - practically a salad.

Our pizza, with a cameo by Mum and Dad via Skype (and the blog post I was writing too) |
Food Highlight of the Day: Mayonnaise-flavoured corn chips (I LOVE THE HYAKU EN STORE!)
