This morning saw the inaugural outing of my full body raincoat, and then it didn't rain at all. Instead I wore what is essentially a large plastic bag on a 20 minute uphill ride to work. And today was the day I forgot to put on deoderant. Oh. Dear. (thank you emergency work perfume in desk drawer)
Classes were really easy today - only a half day, so we watch a slightly inappropriate movie instead - Resident Evil: Degeneration. It was the first time I have watched a movie in class with kids (excluding the horrible Charlie Brown Halloween thing).
Mum and Dad cleaned up the outside of our house beautifully! Even moved around some of the old unused bikes. Unfortunately, Dad (unaccustomed to using his broom muscles) pulled something in his back picking up an innocent little broom on the wrong angle. He was lying on the couch being dosed with Bundaberg Rum (Bold and Intense, which I think is horrible) when I got home from work. He and Mum whipped up a nice spaghetti sauce for tomorrow (with Dad cooking from a seated position), which warmed the house up nicely when it was really cold, and smelled absolutely beautiful.
For dinner, we had a fridge-clearing night. I cooked yakisoba, and we had some ramen and managed to knock over a bit of the chocolate that Mum and Dad brought with them, all accompanied by a moscato that Mum and Dad brought from home. Bliss!
Food Highlight of the Day: Cadbury Creme Brulee chocolate. Sigh. So nice to have familiar chocolate!
