Day 114 in Japan - I was not in Kyoto

Today was a fairly short Shimizu day. I was walking along the corridor when I saw a poor bird trying to fly through close windows, so I tried to rescue it by catching it with my jumper. I was finally successful (the bird concussed itself enough to slow down so I could catch it), then felt weird and didn't know what to do with my jumper, so I put it back on. The only other really notable thing that happened to me today was that it rained on me on the way home.

Anna headed off to Tokyo on the shinkansen today, and Mum and Dad came back to Okubo tonight while Sam was at work. It was so good to see them after only a day away - I am going to be really sad when they leave for good! As nothing much else pretty happened to me today, here are some photos from Mum and Dad's last day in Kyoto.

Food Highlight of the Day: Taking Mum and Dad to Toridoru (a grilled chicken place), and ordering the best karaage in Japan. Mmmmm, tasty fried chicken.
