Day 135 in Japan - Actually, Seriously, Really Last Classes at Shimizu (this year)

Took back stupid tape recorder to Akashi Shimizu today, which didn't work, and just wasted my time last night while I was trying to record my listening test. It bounced around all the way to work in my bicylce basket, and made my annoying ride to work even more annoying.

Last classes with my first year classes at Akashi Shimizu - we watched Biohazard in class. One teacher was 15 minutes late for her own class, which really frustrated me.

I went shopping on the way home to try to find a present for a friend - ended up finding DORITOS! And my new favourite shop - D2. And pretty cabbages being grown in a garden nearby our house.

Tonight I was home alone - it was Sam's big day at work, so I did a bit of blogging, studied Japanese, cooked a mean chilli and pottered around home.

Food Highlight of the Day: My homemade chilli. I am getting better at recreating the tastes of food I would cook at home without any of the ingredients I would use at home. No sweet chilli sauce? No worries - add habanero, sugar, a (very small) bit of vinegar and paprika. No tomato paste? No worries - add ketchup, two tins of pureed tomatoes, a whole (finely) grated carrot, and simmer for a long time.
