Day 85 in Japan - A Local Affair

Slower start to the day, particularly for Aaron. McDonalds traditional hangover breakfast.

This is a McGriddle - that is basically a pancake/waffle with
maple syrup bits as the bun on a Bacon and Egg McMuffin.
Hangover cures ACQUIRED!
Back home to hang out clothes and look for Aarons ring. Much relief when found. Then decided to head out to kobe to see our local giant robot - Tetsujin 28.

We caught the train to Shinnagata then saw the huge robot. Wanted sushi train. Fail. Daiso. Sannomiya. Continued sushi train fail. Ended up eating ramen in dining road over train station. It was cool - there was soft jazz playing over the radio, and we could hear the trains running overhead. It was like a noir film.

Tetsujin 28 - the giant robot in Kobe.
Then went on quest for dessert up Kitano road in Sannomiya - ended up with oddly delicious kakigori (shaved ice with flavouring and stuff). Onto arcade taiko and a wander south of station for some shopping. Found a decent sized electronics store,  but eventually felt too tired, gave up and headed back to Akashi bridge to watch the sun set and the lights come on and change colour. It was lovely and peaceful, and really good to just sit and not have somewhere else to be.

Back to Okubo, bought Gizmo clothes, Saizeriya for dinner, crepes for dessert, gachapon and souveneir shopping then home and watched some Indiana Jones half in English and half in Japanese before bed. So tired - just need to sleep.

Food Highlight of the Day: Kakigori in Sannomiya.
