Then we walked back to the station and caught the Hibiya line train back to Akihabara station. There was quite a bit of shopping at we didn't get to yesterday afternoon, so we had another crack at it. First we had morning tea at the Gundam cafe, which was styled in a really cool way, but the fact that they sstarted almost no food until 2 pm, and the lack of merch meant that it was a bit different to what we had expected. We saw more model and toy shops before lunch, then hunted for some PCs and handheld devices that Corey was interested in in the afternoon. Lunch was KFC - my first in Japan. Aaron and Corey had pretty much the same reaction as Sam - they were a bit disappointed with KFC chicken. They didn't mind the biscuit thing that they had, though. I had a twister, and even though it was very small it was actually pretty good. But definitely small.
Saw the BEST game store after lunch - it was called Potato man or potato head or something along those lines, and it was all dedicated to retro gaming. Sam would have absolutely adored it, and I'll definitely be dragging he and Fletch back here in a future Tokyo trip.

When we were all really tired, we walked back to the station, and caught the train back to Hibiya, to the hotel . Sorted out my stuff, helped Aaron open some of his new toys, and then had to say goodbye to the lads, and the beautiful Peninsula Hotel. I was a bit teary, so I left quickly :P Walked back to Tokyo station by heading back towards the closest train station, then following the train line back - interesting walk going from the grandeur of the 5th Ave style Ginza shops to the neons lights of so me of the electronics stores, through to the cheap restaurants u under the train lines, where you could see rat droppings swept out the back doors of the places (ewww).
Figured out my train home with barely any effort (go Tokyo Shinkansen station!), got myself some banana omiyage, kit kats, a sandwich for dinner on the train, and then snagged a window seat in the unreserved car. The train was there 15 mins early, so I pretty much got my pick of seats by turning up before the departure time. There was a big rush for seats just before the train left, but everyone got somewhere to sit, even a few gaps around. Dude next to me playing Phoenix Wright game of some description on his mobile phone was really amusing - he was obviously getting really silently annoyed and I think he almost threw his phone across the train. Ha ha ha. I was so tired by the time I got home! Sam had a job interview in Osaka, and I was going to meet up with him, but ended up crawling into bed relatively early instead.
Food Highlight of the Day: Tonkatsu sandwich on the shinkansen.
