Today really sucked. I really disliked what happened at Shimizu today. They asked me to do an unreasonable amount of work, because they were "too busy". Then the teachers all gave themselves early marks and went home. I am really sick of the terrible attitudes of the teachers, insulted by being referred to constantly as "the foreigner" (and today hearing my name and "noroi", or lazy, in the same conversation - I hope that my poor Japanese led me to misunderstand that one), and really frustrated with the amount of work I am expected to do at this school.
Anyway, frustrations with the working day aside, the evening was pretty good. Sam obviously realised that I was in a really, really foul mood (the tears and yelling were probably a decent clue) and jollied me back into a good mood. And we had late night bacon and eggs, which really is always going to fix pretty much anything.

Odd giveaway - buy a beer, get some oil. Also note on the right hand side, the new dark Suntory Premium Malt. |
Food Highlight of the Day: I swallowed a lot of my own rage. Too pithy? OK, then the almost-real-bacon that our local supermarket has started to carry! WOOHOO!
